VTB 24 to expand small business loan portfolio

Moscow 13:53:19.VTB 24 is planning to increase its small business loan portfolio by 33 percent in 2009, member of the bank's executive board and head of the small business servicing department Sergei Suchkov said during today's press conference,
which focused on the EU and Russia cooperation program in the sphere of support for export-oriented small and medium innovative companies.
He pointed out that, although the global financial situation was rather complex, the bank was not planning to decrease the amount of loans.
Suchkov also indicated that small business loan portfolio would be hiked from RUB 76bn (approx. USD 2.78bn) in 2008 to RUB 100bn (approx. USD 3.65bn) in 2009.
